The IS-F was not equiped with a limited slip differential (LSD) from the factory until 2010. When the car was tested with the LSD, a significant performance gain was achieved which resulted in lap time improvements of up to 6 seconds, as tested by Car and Driver Magazine. The OS Giken Super Lock LSD does everything a proper LSD should do. It behaves like an open differential in low speed tight turns, but locks and provides traction when you need it. This LSD will significantly improve traction, stability, and at-the-limit control of your IS-F.
