The 300/350 Air/Oil separator is a by product of our IS-F track development program. We finally added an air/oil separator to our IS line. Testing our shop IS350 on the track and on the road showed accumulation of oil and other contaminants in the canister.

During on track testing and data logging, it became clear that the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) was allowing for significant ingestion of oil into the engine (see diagram in the photo gallery of this product). Oil ingestion results in ignition retard due to the low octane of engine oil as it burns up. Additionally, oil burning in the engine results in carbon deposits on the intake valves, pistons, and combustion chamber which further increases the propensity for power-robbing detonation. You don't have to take your IS to the track to benefit from our Air/Oil Separator. Anyone who drives aggressively on twisty roads with hard acceleration and deceleration will benefit from avoiding oil ingestion into the engine.

The RR-Racing Air/Oil Separator is a fully sealed design featuring a level indicator for easy inspection. We utilize only the finest quality push-to-connect fittings and urethane hoses. All you have to do is check the level indicator and periodically empty the canister.

Please note that although the canister fits GS350 models, on some vehicles it may slightly touch the brake hydraulic line from the master cylinder. In this case, the bracket may be bent slightly upwards to avoid touching the line.
