Why purchase RR-Racing motor mounts?  The fact is front drive cars suffer from torn and worn motor mounts.  This result in wheel hop, a dangerous condition that can cause excessive stress to drivetrain components, and even cause breakage of the transmission case (on Probes/Mx6 the rear mount is actually bolted to the tranny case)!!  RR-Racing polyurethane motor mount inserts are the economical cure to old torn or worn motor mounts, and they offer a significant performance improvement as well.

Technical Information

  • Ultra stiff, super-durable polyurethane material

  • Designed for smooth engine operation -- NO VIBRATIONS

  • Dramatically Reduces engine movement and wheel hop

  • Improves shifting by limiting excess engine movement

  • Much more economical alternative to replacing old or torn engine mounts!

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have a torn engine mount, will this help?

Torn engine mounts are characterized by unpleasant engine vibrations, excessive wheel hopping during aggressive launch, and missed shifts that can ruin your transmission.  By using the poly engine mount inserts you can avoid the costly prospect of having to replace your front and rear mounts, and you will realize a significant performance improvement!

Why does RR-Racing only offer front and rear mounts?

The 2.5 v6 has 5 mounts total: front, rear, lower, right, and left.  Because we have a transverse mount engine, most of the stress and load excursions are experienced by the front and rear mounts, these are by far the two most important mounts and exhibit wear much sooner than any of the other mounts.

Unsolicited Customer Testimonials

Since releasing the engine mount inserts, positive response to this product has been overwhelming!  Below are a series of unsolicited customer testimonials from probetalk.com members (you can verify by searching on probetalk.com).

Well I got the inserts installed in the front only, back was going to be too much work. And to tell you the truth THEY ROCK, and are solid as one. I will have pics of what my stock bushings look like soon, but as Tony would say there toast.
The car shifts 1000 times smoother and the engine vibrations are not present, and even though my back ones are bad too I find it hard to get the engine to slab against the firewall.
Get job rafi, again another great idea for a people who can really use them.

PT Member: HowLett

In all, it was about an hour's worth of work, and definitely worth all of it. I've pulled engine mounts in and out several times before, so I knew exactly what I was doing, but in reality, there are only two nuts and one bolt to be removed, it's not really that involved.

Yeah, so like, ORDER ONE NOW!!!!!!!!

PT Member:  Mark

just got the rear one in , man that was a PITA !!!
the motor dosn't move at all now !

me likes !

Initial test drive says:

Definitely the most effective 33 dollars you can spend right now. It's not as extreme as the solid metal engine mount I put in my '92 LX, but nothing about my MX-6 is that extreme!

PT Member: ajbock

These mount inserts simply rock!!! I installed front and rear ones on my 93 GT, and it makes a huge difference! The front one is a snap to install, plan on at least probably 3 or 4 hours for the rear if you've never done it before. My rear one was ripped, so I replaced it w/ a new one and put in the inserts. At idle there is a slight shake to the chassis sometimes, but it's not bad at all. Shifting when moving is much improved, you can definitely feel the stiffness in the mounts when letting off the accelerator/depressing the clutch. My car just feels more solid now. Very impressed!

PT Member: 93 PGT

I have them and they rock I had some pretty bad engine rocking and vibration, it's like new again One of the best $50 I've spent on the car.
